Mundy Township Comment on Possible Advanced Manufacturing Site
Standard Press/Public Statement – Advanced Manufacturing Inquiries
Mundy Township works diligently to ensure the best interests of our residents, future of our agriculture, and quality of life in our community are priorities at the forefront of any discussions and/or decision-making process.
Mundy Township is aware of recent reports identifying the area as a target of the State of Michigan for development of an advanced manufacturing site through the acquisition of privately owned land. This potential advanced manufacturing development is not a Township led effort, and the Township has not received any applications or proposals for construction or permitting of an advanced manufacturing project.
Mundy Township is excited about the economic opportunity that an advanced manufacturing site would present for the community, region, and state. The Township welcomes responsible, sustainable investment and development within its boundaries while striving to maintain the quality residential standards that have led to this area being one of the most desirable locations to establish a home.
