Is the a fire hydrant(s) close to your home or your neighbor's home? Firefighters need your help.

Neighborhood Adopt-a-Hydrant

In the event of a fire, finding the fire hydrant closest to your home is critical for firefighters. We are encouraging neighborhoods to adopt a fire hydrant(s) near their homes. This will ensure hydrants are visible and accessible, which will greatly speed the response time getting the water needed for the emergency. Adopting a fire hydrant can be made simple and can can be a part of your summer and winter activities (mowing, gardening, tree trimming, snow removal). Donating a little part of your time will hellp ensure your neighborhood is a little bit safer in the event of a fire.
